Hard water reaches every tap

Two problems.
Two simple fixes.

Scale on your fixtures and the taste of your drinking water come from different things. Most homes only need one fix; some want both. The test tells you which.

01 / Every tapUnbranded charcoal water softener and brine tank in a bright utility room.
Whole-home softening

Softer and cleaner water, every faucet

A softener removes the calcium and magnesium that leave scale on glass, faucets and inside your water heater.

02 / Your drinking waterMatte black drinking water faucet filling a clear glass beside a kitchen sink.

Drinking water you like

An under-sink reverse osmosis system gives you a separate faucet for drinking, cooking and coffee.

Signs you'll recognize

Less scale.
Fewer spots.
Water you enjoy.

Hard water leaves a trail you can see. If any of this looks familiar, a 30-minute test tells you exactly how hard your water is.

What a home test covers

Before you book

Common questions.

Is the water test really free?

Yes. No charge and no obligation to buy anything.

How long does it take?

About 30 minutes at your kitchen sink, plus however long you want for questions.

How much does water treatment cost?

It depends on your water, your home and your household. After the test you'll get a written quote for your home, with as much time as you want to decide.

Do you work with well water?

Yes. Well water often carries iron, sulfur, manganese, and tannins along with hardness, and the test checks for iron.

Do I need to own my home?

Yes. We work with homeowners, including owners of rental properties.

Can I see what's in my water before the test?

Yes. Search your ZIP code on the EWG Tap Water Database to see what your water utility has reported. Homes on private wells won't be listed, and your tap can differ from the utility average, which is why we test at your sink.
